Four players L.Vivekananda, C.Pavan, V.P.S.Darshan and
Sharan R Setty were tied with 6 points each from seven rounds, but
L.Vivekananda's better progressive tie-break score of 33, compared to
the others helped him to clinch the title, in the Open mens' section in
the Dasara open chess championship 2018, conducted by MDCA which
concluded at the Chamundivihar indoor stadium here on Saturday.
Prasiddhi Bhat, a student of Acharaya Vidyakula, Mysuru with 7 points
from seven rounds won the title in the women's section.
The prizes to the winners were given away by M.Nagendra,
Vice-President, UKCA and N.M.Biddappa, Vice-President, MDCA. Jaganath, Vice-President, MDCA and
K.R.Shivarame Gowda, Hon.secretary, MDCA were the other guests present.
